We are currently in a process of developing Hard Facilities Maintenance Framework and Apprenticeship Guidance Standards. Hard Facilities Maintenance refers to the systems, which relate to the physical fabric of the building.
They are used on a daily basis and ensure the safety and welfare of employees. Generally, these cover a wide range of sectors, industries and facilities equipment, example include: • Electrical Systems • Plumbing • Fire Safety systems • Air Conditioning • Building Maintenance • Gas Systems • Water Suppliers / Systems • Oil and gas plant and operations centres • Manufacturing Production Facilities • Storage and logistics warehouses • Shopping Centres Hospitals • Office Blocks • Residential Accommodation Hard Facilities Maintenance Framework Standards will involve skills and competency requirements, defined in the recently approved Oman National Occupational Standards, into a national training and assessment framework. The Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL) implementation team will support the Oil & Gas sector in conjunction with the Ministry of Manpower (MOMP) to deliver a fit for purpose solution to support this important skills area.
Therefore, we would like to invite you all to support this project in development of Hard Facilities Maintenance Framework Standards.
